Privacy Policy

Effective from 13 July 2026

General Privacy Policy

Cyclop Technologies (“Cyclop”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our websites and services (together, our “Services”). Cyclop Technologies is the data controller for information collected through our Services, and is based in Tunisia.

Privacy is at the heart of what we build. We collect as little as we can, we do not sell your data, and we are transparent about the rest.

What we collect and why

  • Account information: your name, email, and password when you register, so we can provide and secure your account.
  • Security and approximate location: when you make changes to your account, we record the IP address the change was made from, and use it to determine an approximate location. This helps us protect your account and detect suspicious activity. We do not use it to track your browsing.
  • Payment information: your billing details when you buy a paid edition. Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers; we do not store your full payment card details.
  • Newsletter: your email (and name) if you subscribe, so we can send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Support and forms: anything you send us when you contact us or fill in a form, so we can respond.
  • Usage and technical data: basic, largely anonymous information such as device type, browser, pages visited, and error reports, so we can keep the Services working and improve them.
  • Forums and public spaces: anything you post publicly is public and may be archived. Please be careful what you share.

Legal basis

We only process your personal information where we have a lawful basis to do so: your consent; the performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests as a business (balanced against your rights); or compliance with a legal obligation.

Analytics and cookies

We use a privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics approach to understand how our website is used in aggregate. It does not store personal data or track you across sites. We use only the cookies needed to run the site and keep you signed in. You can control cookies from your browser settings. See our Cookies Policy for details.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary, with:

  • Service providers that help us operate, such as hosting, payment processing, and email delivery, under confidentiality obligations and only for the purposes we specify.
  • Authorities and regulators where required by law, or to protect our rights and users.
  • A buyer or successor, in the event we transfer part or all of our business.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected, using appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Security and retention

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep your information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, or as required by law.

Transparency

We have never received a court order, warrant, or classified request for user information, and we have never placed a backdoor into Cyclop OS or any of our products, nor have we been asked to.

Your privacy rights

Subject to certain conditions and exemptions, you have the following rights over your personal information:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and how it is processed.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your information where it is no longer needed or where you withdraw consent.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your information in certain cases.
  • Portability: ask us to provide your information in a structured, machine-readable format, or to transfer it to another controller.
  • Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may ask you to verify your identity first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, though we ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern.
