Public sector
Computers your administration keeps control of.
Cyclop OS is for town halls, mid-size administrations and public schools that look after their own computers, without a state IT department behind them. Documents live on your machines, the system reports nothing about your staff, and one supplier answers for all of it.
Administrations and large organisations: on quote only, by the number of machines and the support you need.
What would your fleet cost over five years?

Why now
Public bodies are already moving.
Three public decisions, each linked to its source. They show the direction; none of these bodies uses Cyclop OS.
France
On 8 April 2026 the DINUM, the State’s digital directorate, announced it is moving its own workstations to Linux, and asked every ministry to prepare a plan to reduce its extra-European digital dependencies.

On every machine
What Cyclop OS does for you, and what it does not.
- 01
No telemetry
Crash and usage reporters are removed. A single counter tells us how many machines run Cyclop OS, without identifying anyone.
- 02
Updates from Europe
System updates come from the official RWTH Aachen mirror in Germany, over HTTPS. Network time comes from PTB in Germany and Netnod in Sweden.
- 03
Secure from the first boot
In the paid editions: a firewall set up at installation, security updates applied on their own, and a hardened kernel configuration.
- 04
Licences you control
Each licence opens its edition’s repository for one device, with a token that can be revoked when a machine leaves the fleet.
- 05
Backups ready
Timeshift comes preinstalled and preconfigured, so a broken update is a restore, not a reinstall.
What still leaves Europe today
Firefox updates (from Mozilla) and the Flathub app catalogue. Both are on our roadmap. We would rather tell you now than have you find out in an audit.
How it goes
From a form to a written proposal.
- 1
Describe your fleet
The quote form asks how many machines you have and what they are used for. The administration option is already selected.
- 2
We reply in writing
A public body needs a contract with response times and a named contact. We write that proposal by hand, not from a price list.
- 3
Try it before you sign
The Community edition is free. Install it on a spare machine and judge for yourself.
Questions administrations ask
Is Cyclop Technologies a European company?
Cyclop Technologies is registered in Estonia, inside the European Union. It was founded by a Tunisian engineer and builds Cyclop OS for Europe.
Where do our documents go?
Nowhere by default. Cyclop OS ships no cloud storage and no telemetry, so documents stay on the machine. The system does contact a few services for updates, network time and licence checks; the list is above, including what still leaves Europe.
How much does it cost?
Administrations and large organisations are quoted by hand, by the number of machines and the support you need. Public schools can also look at the Education edition on the editions page.
Can we test it before deciding?
Yes. The Community edition is free, with no time limit. Check the system requirements, install it on one machine, and ask for a quote when you are ready.
Which software runs on it?
Thousands of applications from a stable, long-term-supported base and Flathub, plus the ones we make for Cyclop OS. The apps page lists them.
Tell us about your administration.
A few minutes on the form, and we come back with a written proposal.
